Melissa "Missy" Hakkam is Raisa ana' Marianna's boy-crazy cousin. In The Demon King, Missy is in Raisa's room, gushing about Liam Tomlin, the prince of Tamron. Raisa is shown to be tired of Missy's crush on him, replying sarcastically "if he had proposed yet".

She is flighty, mooning over every officer in uniform, dreaming of marriages to foppish nobles. At parties, she giggles constantly and she is quite vapid. She is easily enamored by both Micah Bayar and Hanson Alister.
She does not trust the clanfolk, believing that they are uncivilized and barbaric, sharing the common sentiments of the valefolk.
